If you're that person that constantly pokes fun at Lady Gaga, then I suggest catching a re-run of her apperance on this past episode of Saturday Night Live. According to the New York Daily News, Lady Gaga is often criticized for her thirst for superstardom and getting the attention of the public even if it means wearing raw meat all over her body. So, what else is there to do when you're aware of all of the crap that people say about you? Go on SNL and make fun of yourself! And that is was Gaga did. She decided to poke fun at herself during the episode last night, Nov 16, by getting mad at a superintendent for not knowing who she was and then still getting no applaud from the audience after singing one of her songs while a bunch of Grammy awards sat on top of the piano. Sometimes it's good to be able to laugh at yourself... Even if you still make millions of dollars a year for doing so. Watch Lady Gaga's monologue where she pokes fun at herself here!

Lea Michele Makes a Music Video!

Lea Michele has a debut album on the way! Earlier this morning Lea Michele Instagram-ed a picture of a music video shoot with the caption, "So excited shooting my very first music video today for the first album single!." A few hours later we can see another photo of the shoot that she uploaded to Instagram. It is nice to hear that Lea is now creating her own album separate from her Rachel character on the hit primetime series, "Glee."  With her beautiful voice and even more gorgeous appearance, how could Lea not have a great fan base? Her fans, including myself, are certainly very excited to hear a different side of her. After losing her co-star and boyfriend, Cory Monteith, to a drug overdose, this is a great way for Lea to reach out to her fans and express herself in a way that she may not be able to do through Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, or even as her character Rachel on "Glee." Great job Lea! We're all rooting for you and looking forward to hearing and seeing your new music video!

Richie Reaches Out

"Simple Life" star, Nicole Richie, shows off her unusual yet beautiful Alberta Ferretti attire from last night's Baby2Baby Gala. Richie is a board member of Baby2Baby which is an organization that supplies families in need with essential baby gear and clothing for their children up to age 12. According to their website, by distributing new and gently used items to over 50 non-profit organizations, Baby2Baby reaches over 67,000 children per year. I always enjoy hearing that the very fortunate are still kind enough to help out the less fortunate, especially when it comes to helping children. Modest mom Richie sure has come a long way since her days on a sitcom where she was forced to shove her hand into the rear end of a cow. Oh how people change. At least this time it was certainly for the better.

Keith Killin' It!

The oh so beautiful country star rocked his concert last night in Des Moines, IA. He even captioned his Instagram picture, "It was like a massive happening club in there tonite!!!! We had a killer time- hope you all did too!!! THANK YOU!!!!- KU" I always think it's nice when celebrities take a minute to thank their fans. For the followers and fans of these celebrities, they feel appreciated and will want to buy more tickets to see their favorite rockstar! At least that's how my brain works... I'm not too sure what a "massive happening club" is but it sounds like it was definitely a good time. Little Big Town and Dustin Lynch also performed at last night's event. Rancic Raises Money

Oh my god. Not only do I wish I was Giuliana Rancic because she is beautiful and I want her job, but having her husband wouldn't be bad either. Bill Rancic teamed up with Timex to raise money for cancer during the New York Marathon today. As seen in the comment above, for every single person that he passed during the marathon, Timex made a $1 donation to Fab-U-Wish, which is a breast and ovarian cancer charity started by his wife, Giuliana Rancic. According to Timex.com, Timex is one of the largest watch companies and is the official timing sponsor of the ING New York City Marathon. Since breast cancer hits home to Bill Rancic ever since his wife survived it and had a double mastectomy, Rancic decided to take his marathon running skills and use them to his advantage. As there is still no number one how much money he raised yet, I am certainly looking forward to have another reason to fall even harder for him. Raising money for a cause and looking beautiful while doing so? I certainly wouldn't complain if I were Giuliana. If only every celebrity was as humble and kind hearted as the Rancics. Wouldn't the world be a much better place? Sigh....

Bieber Busted in Brazil Brothel

I wonder why Bieber loves Brazil... Maybe because he was having some Bieber bonding time in a brothel this past weekend? According to US Magazine, Justin Bieber was allegedly spotted leaving a brothel in Brazil during his downtime from performing in Brazil. According to The New York Post, the teeny bopper heart throb was trying to sneak out of a brothel on Friday. Bieber was seen leaving the brothel, "Centauros" in Rio de Janeiro. Apparently he used a bed sheet to cover himself up, but clearly that did not work too well considering US Magazine and The New York Post is now reporting on it. According to Page Six of The New York Post, Bieber was inside of the brothel with a friend for three hours. When he finally was going to leave, his bodyguards began to spray the paparazzi with water guns. Woah. Now that's threatening. My only thoughts on this is that if Bieber wants to be a "regular" teenaged boy who likes to head over to Brazil and hang out for hours in brothels, he should consider using an old man mask instead of a bed sheet. Now that's a way to hide from the paparazzi...

Clean Cut Jimmy

Nina Dobrev, True Blood actress, went to see Jimmy Fallon do standup comedy in Atlanta on Tuesday night. Fallon, who is his on Clean Cut Comedy Tour, shared this photo on his Instagram with the caption, "Thanks to my ATL pal @ninadobrev for lip syncing with me tonight. You killed it!!!" According to latenightwithjimmyfallon.com, Fallon has already had tour dates in Atlanta, St. Louis, and Tampa. He is expected for perform in LA and Denver in December. Special guests for this tour includes Julian McCullough, Nate Bargatze and Nick Thune. According to Jaunted.com, Jimmy has been meeting with local station managers, on air anchors, local government officials and the press to promote his takeover of "The Tonight Show." Fallon said, "We're going to do the same intelligent absurd comedy that we got popular for. We're not going to change anything. It's just an hour earlier, and we're going to keep it fun." Sounds like this is going to be a great change and I know I'm super excited to see one of my favorite comedians take over such a great show!

Yeezus Kanye!

Awww, what a good girlfriend Kim is to Kanye. Kim is advertising Kanye's Yeezus tour via her Instagram because Kanye doesn't have one of his own. How interesting and how sweet of her. According to Rollingstone.com, Kanye set off his Yeezus tour at Seattle's Key Arena this past Saturday night. His energy level was apparently extraordinary for entire show and he played his entire album Yeezus for the audience in addition to a variety of selections from his past albums including, "Stronger," "Can't Tell Me Nothing," and "Jesus Walks." While Kim attends his concert tonight, who is going to be watching their newborn North West?! Perhaps Mama Kris will help out tonight. How fascinating it is to think about the father of your child going from city to city performing one of the biggest and most famous concerts of the year. Must be nice being that famous. I think people forget that Kendall Jenner is still a teenager. From her bikini photoshoots, to constantly being in the media spotlight side by side with her sisters, Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney, people put her up on this pedestal to be a mature role model. It is humbling and sincere to see Kendall posting a picture with her dad, embracing her true age, and making the comment of the picture, "Oooo emm geee! I love my daddy! <3." People need to remember that although 17-year-old Jenner may be drop-dead beautiful and may look 25, she still is daddy's little girl... because frankly, she still is a little girl.

As part of Justin Bieber's continuation of his 24 days of Christmas... I mean 10 weeks of Bieber, he just announced the next song that he will be releasing tonight at midnight. According to contactmusic.com, as part of his Music Mondays campaign, Bieber will be releasing "Hold Tight." Stay tuned next week for his next single release, "Wait For a Minute," with well-known rapper Tyga. Justin has already released two new tracks as part of his Music Mondays. Last Monday he released his new love song, "All That Matters." If you don't take love advice from Justin Bieber, then I don't know who else you should take it from. Adrian's Anguish

For those of you who are unaware of the terrible tragedy that occurred this past weekend, NFL star Adrian Peterson had to say goodbye to his two-year-old son as he passed away last night after being beat to death. As awful as this situation was, the more awful aspect was that this picture above, was being circulated by the media as well as celebrities to depict that the boy in the picture was the young child who was killed. In actuality, the boy in this picture is Adrian Peterson Jr., which is not the child who was killed. As adorable as this photograph is, it is controversial and disrespectful to Adrian Peterson Jr who is still alive as well as to the young boy who lost his life. According to Peterson's Twitter, he stated that he is currently not posting any pictures of his son who passed away. He also tweeted, "We would like to pass this along isn the hopes that, if you have tweeted or re-tweeted any pictures of Peterson and Adrian, Jr., or posted them to other social media sites, that you take a moment to take them down out of respect for the families wishes." It was also heart warming to read another tweet of his which read, "The NFL is a fraternity of brothers and I am thankful for the tweets, phone calls and text messages from my fellow players. " This was certainly a terrible tragedy but Peterson is handeling it very respectfully and is just asking that people like Khloe Kardashian remove such pictures from social media sites.

The sexy and spicy Sofia Vergara uploaded pictures from her Cover Girl photo shoot to her Instagram. Judging by the three exclamation points, she clearly was very excited to be modeling for them. Being one of the new faces of Cover Girl, Vergara, is aware of what it means to be the new Cover Girl. Well...you simply have to be flawless and beautiful to put it blatantly. She explains in an interview with Access Hollywood that being a Cover Girl is a dream come true because she is aware of how beautiful the Cover Girl's usually are. Vergara is known for her hilarious "Spanish mother" role on ABC's primetime hit, "Modern Family."

Charming Channing Challenge

Who wouldn't love to watch a "We Heart Channing" marathon? Starting yesterday at 7:55pm ET/PT there were back to back "Step-Up" films starring the heart throbbing hottie. According to MTV's Instagram, they have an MTV photo challenge everyday. They usually take something that is occurring that day, such as a Channing marathon on TV, and try to get their audiences involved. They were very clever yesterday with their post because it not only had people start to think, "what could I possibly love more than Channing?," but it also helped promote the movies that were going to air on MTV last night, thus creating even more viewership for their network. I then started to wonder, what would I have posted?

Yeah... I definitely love adorable puppies more than Channing. 

Grieving Glee Gal

Lea Michele is looking as beautiful as ever with Glee writer Ryan Murphy and her co-stars, Jane Lynch and Matt Morrison. Check out some candid photos from the HFPA Glee Panel. On a different note however, if you did not catch the episode on Thursday of Glee, you certainly missed out. The episode on Thursday was a tribute to Cory Monteith, a former Glee actor, and Lea Michele's boyfriend. The episode began with the Glee cast singing "Seasons of Love" from RENT, and continued mourning Cory through the entire episode. The tear-jerking moment of the episode was when Lea Michele sang "Make You Feel My Love" as you could see the true sadness and loss in her eyes. And it wasn't acting. It was real emotion and it was truly heart-breaking. Click here to see scenes from this past Thursday's episode.  According to an article from hollywoodlife.com, Lea was the person who supported filming a tribute episode for Cory. Filming this episode was a grieving process for not only Lea but for the entire Glee cast as well. Great job Ryan Murphy on writing an amazing episode of Glee that undoubtedly shows the true emotions people feel after losing a loved one.

American Horror Sexy

Emma Roberts, who holds a very minor role in this season's "American Horror Story" attended the Premiere of the show on Oct. 6. Looking gorgeous as always, wearing a Cushnie et Ochs, she can be seen in her Instagram picture laughing with Sarah Paulson, who has appeared in the past two seasons of "American Horror Story." According to an article from hollywoodlife.com, Emma's sexy white dress, as seen in the picture above, definitely showed her assets. Despite the fact that the dress went a little bit below her knees, she still made sure to show a lot of skin. She looked extremely stylish with her hair swept to one side, her dramatic eye makeup showing off her beautiful eyes, and her minimum use of accessories to focus on the sexiness of her dress. For those of you that missed Miley hosting SNL last night, it certainly was a sight to see. From her infamous "sticking tongue out" face to her acoustic rendition of "We Can't Stop," the show certainly had be giggling numerous times. It was actually comical to see Miley poke fun at herself and react to how fans have been discussing her VMA performance. Besides the fact that she mentioned Hannah Montana has been killed, Miley wasn't too vulgar with her language or actions. She even covered most of her body parts! According to an article from USA Today, Miley not only did not "twerk" last night but she made sure to avoid all controversy during her SNL performance yesterday.

Heartbreaking Bieber

Looks like even the famous have to post flyers to advertise. Is Justin Bieber asking fans to post sheets of paper with his new album title all over different cities? YUP! According to MTV.com, Justin Bieber will kick off a series that he is calling "Music Mondays" with the long-awaited single by the teeny boppers that gush over his luscious locks and dreamy eyes, "Heartbreaker." Sounds a little like the 12 days of Christmas... Nope, it's just the 10 weeks of Justin Bieber. This new plan includes releasing a new song at midnight on Sunday, leading up to Bieber's upcoming movie. According to the article on MTV.com, Bieber posted the first line of the song on Instagram. The tease for "Heartbreaker" has been driving his obsessed fans for month crazy and wanting more. Well, they are able to get a lot more for the next ten weeks...

Ross Matthews, one of the most "divalicious" on-air personalities that I watch on television, now has his own TV talk show on E! called "Hello Ross." One of his latest guests included reality TV star and "momager," Kris Jenner, where she talked to E! News while on the set of "Hello Ross" exclusively about the relationships between her two daughters and their significant others. First, she discussed how Khloe is handling her marital problems with hubby Lamar Odom. According to an article on eonline.com, Kris called Khloe "resilient" and "very strong," while trying to stay positive despite her marital issues with Odom. According to an article on globalgrind.com, Kris absolutely loves Kanye West and is extremely happy to have him in her family. She tells Ross Matthews on his show, "I love him so much. He's such an amazing boyfriend to Kim and a great dad and a wonderful person." It was interesting to read this article as well because they explain that Kris was taking care of North West, Kanye and Kim's baby, while the parents were in Paris for Fashion Week. This past week MTV produced a new documentary, "Miley: The Movement." It discusses Miley's journey from this point forward and how she is going to work harder than she ever has to make her dream come true. To take over the world. According to an article on MTV.com, to Miley, this really is a Movement and she is prepared work overtime to make it happen. Miley's ambition is extremely prevalent through this documentary as she is a perfectionist and never settles for anything but being the best. "If you're not first, you're last," says Miley Cyrus. It is interesting to see Miley in a different light than she has been exemplified through the media these past few months. Miley is a leader and is making sure that she has a say in every little step of her journey.  It is clear after watching the documentary that she is taking the bull by the horns and she won't stop. (Click this link to see how all of this success basically started with her hit single, "We Can't Stop.") "I was born to become who I am right now. ...I'm at a point in my career where I can be exactly what I want to be, who I want to be. I have this freedom to do whatever I want," says Miley.

It's Great to be Drake

Congratulations to Drake for his latest album, "Nothing Was the Same," hitting Number 1 on the Billboard 200! It is still a little hard for me to refer to Drake as anything other than "Jimmy Brooks from Degrassi" but I commend him for making a solid name for himself. According to an article by the Huffington Post, by selling 658,000 copies of his album, he took the number one spot and beat out Kings of Leon and Cher.  It's interesting to hear one of his most popular hits, "Started From the Bottom" because as a young actor for a big time Canadian drama, I can't imagine he was starting out from the bottom... Click here to listen to the entire "Nothing Was the Same" album.

Breast Cancer Beauty

Giuliana Rancic is getting the chance of a lifetime to be a guest model on an episode of "The Price is Right" tomorrow to honor Breast Cancer Fighters. Giuliana is an unbelievable role model to all woman who are struggling with this terrible disease. After reading an article on eonline.com about Giuliana's opinion on being able to be a model on this show, it helps people realize how real of a person Giuliana truly is. Like many people, "The Price is Right" is a show that Giuliana grew up watching and is a big fan of. She told E! News that she has been watching the show since she was a little girl and has been practicing her model movements for the show for twenty years. In the article, Giuliana, a breast cancer survivor, explained that the entire audience are woman who are going through breast cancer, have been through breast cancer, or who support other woman who are going through breast cancer. I personally love how big of an advocate Giuliana has been for breast cancer since she beat it. She is using her fame to inform other woman about the dangers of breast cancer and how to cope with such a disease. Giuliana is truly an inspiration to all woman. Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, "The Price is Right" is helping kick off the month with a great way to show support.

Im sorry, what Kim? Is it me or is it crazy that Kim is so incredibly famous (for no reason) that she has one of the most famous fashion designers making her a dress one day before she has to wear it? From the brown gladiator heels and black dress, she absolutely does not match at all. Also, if she's SO rich how come she hasn't been able to afford a personal trainer to help lose some of that baby weight? Beats me. Maybe Kanye can give her a quick smooch here and there for some motivation.

Pretty Pretty Pricey!

As one of my all time favorite television on-air personalities, Giuliana Rancic wore a ONE MILLION DOLLAR ring to the Emmy Awards on Sunday night. Now, if it were any other celebrity I would have to say, "get a reality check." But because I so highly respect Giuliana, I feel as though she acted as any ordinary person would while wearing a 1 million dollar rock on their finger; excited but modest. I screenshot a picture from her instagram where she uploaded a picture of the ring and hashtagged, "#wishicouldkeep." A few hours later she uploaded another picture of the ring and made the caption, "Time to leave the red carpet and say bye bye to this beauty!" For somebody to be able to acknowledge the fact that she is lucky enough to be wearing a one million dollar diamond ring, I'd say that's pretty respectable! You go Giuliana Rancic! You certainly "rocked" that beauty!

Analyzing Twin Peaks Through Different Mediums

After reading an article and interview with David Lynch that was published in Entertainment Weekly Special Edition in 1990 by Troy Patterson and Jeff Jensen, it became clear that Twin Peaks was an addictive series to watch. Jensen and Patterson considered Twin Peaks to be a “cult show” because of the amount of people that followed it and were completely fixated on watching it. People were staying in on Saturday nights to watch Twin Peaks because it had such a large following. The night it premiered, it had 35 million viewers which is astonishing to think about at that time. During this time, there was no genre such as a “serial drama” and the public could not wait to get more of it after the first episode aired. As Patterson and Jensen stated, “In 1990, director David Lynch took a twisted look at cherry-pie America with Twin Peaks and television has never been the same (Jensen & Patterson, 1990).” 

As I read a blog post written by Chad Webb, he too explained how after watching the first episode of Twin Peaks he was immediately immersed in the television series. He writes, “Twin Peaks was a bold, beautiful, quirky, strange, and ambitious show, one I became immersed in.” However, Webb watched the series through DVDs rather than on live television 23 years ago. He did thorough research on Twin Peaks and found that people did not think the show was going to be a hit because it was a type of genre that no audience had ever seen before. Between the acting, the characters, the plot, and the fact that the series was based around a murder, audiences could not get enough of Twin Peaks.  It is fascinating to recognize that despite the fact that Webb watched this series 23 years later than Troy Patterson and Jeff Jensen did, that he was still just as immersed in the series. Even though he had most likely watched many more serial dramas before Twin Peaks, unlike the audiences that watched the series live many years ago, it still had the same affect on him as it did for those who had Twin Peaks as their first serial drama television series. 

Twin Peaks Pilot Episode

After hearing a lot about Twin Peaks and how it was the first "horror drama" of its kind, I decided to watch the pilot episode. I have to say it was a very different type of drama television series than I am used to but that does not mean I did not enjoy watching it. The entire episode kept me extremely engaged and I am very eager to watch another episode surprisingly. In my opinion, what makes a successful television series is one that is suspenseful and engaging, both of which the pilot of Twin Peaks was. When I think back to the beginning of the pilot episode, I recall the long and drawn out introduction. Despite the fact that it was probably one of the longest introductions for a television series that I have seen, it certainly put me in the space that I needed to be in when it came to becoming emotionally involved with the plot and characters of this series. From the scene where Laura's mother is sobbing as she sits in her living room with the sheriff, to the scene where we can see a motorcycle in Laura's eye, this episode gave me goosebumps several different times. When I get goosebumps during a television series, I know that means it is undoubtedly an exhilarating series that I cannot wait to watch more of.

TV Through A Media Lover's Eyes

Ever since I can remember I have always been an avid television watcher. I love every aspect of television from the celebrity personalities, to different television series plots to even live news. My favorite thing to watch on television is E! News with Guiliana Rancic which is why my major is Media Management. As a very strong opinionated person I would love to one day be that person who can critique things such as celebrities' outfits on the red carpet, to movies, to television series. On this blog I plan to discuss all things media related, whether it is discussing the latest episode on Breaking Bad or new iPhone applications that are being created.

If tears could build a stairwell and memories were a lane, I would walk right up to Heaven and bring you home again. No farewell words were spoken no time to say good-bye . People spend too much time dwelling on the negative. When something goes wrong people tend to text their friends and gossip about it. It takes so much more energy to complain about the issue to others than it does to simply just move on and find a solution.

here is the deepest secret nobody knows

Ever since I heard this poem many years ago, it has been my favorite. It is so powerful and meaningful. After such a great loss this is so moving and truly helps remind me that I am always carrying him in my heart.
